Ulster made two world-class signings this season in the form of Charles Piutau and Marcell Coetzee but could be about to lose a long-term one.
South African Ruan Pienaar has become a fan favourite in Ulster the last few seasons thanks to his world-class like performances on the pitch. The scrumhalf remains one of the best in the world in his position but could be on his way out of Ulster if reports are to be believed.
Jake White is reportedly hot on the tail of his signature as he looks to build on his already huge South African contingent at Montpellier that includes the likes of Pierre Spies, Bismarck du Plessis and Francois Steyn already.
Ulster in their current financial state should be able to match any offer on the table from Montpellier but the South African contingent at the Top 14 club could be a deciding factor for the scrumhalf should negotiations materialise.
