Wanted man.
Connacht centre Bundee Aki has been linked with a move to Toulon in recent weeks with the French side looking to bolster their midfield ahead of next season.
Aki’s contract is up at the end of the season but it’s believed that the IRFU have an option to extend it by a year automatically, although this hasn’t stopped Toulon in the past, with the three-time European champions reportedly willing to buy out his contract like they did with Antoine Frisch at Munster.
But they’re not done yet, with Nik Simon reporting in The Daily Mail that they’re also eyeing up Leinster and Ireland centre Robbie Henshaw.
Henshaw is out of contract in the summer and the lure of Toulon would be a big one.
The Athlone man, however, is still only 31 so the lure of another Rugby World Cup with Ireland might be bigger but given his injury woes over the last few seasons – he may be tempted to cash in on a big career move.
