Johnny Sexton has had a pretty decent season all things considered. The Ireland and Leinster playmaker has overcome his injury problems to once again become an integral member of the team for club and country.

His form has been incredibly consistent and as a result – he won every single competition he competed this year. A Six Nations Grand Slam, European Champions Cup and PRO14 title all in the bag. Not bad eh?

And of course with that success comes reward. Sexton is already the highest paid rugby player in Ireland, and it appears there’s no fear of the sponsorship deals rolling in too, with the 32-year-old putting pen to paper on a new deal with adidas.

Sexton announced the news on Instagram today, but as we all know – the internet is a dangerous and very open place. You’re never too far from having the absolute piss ripped out of you by the lads.

The likes of Leinster teammates James Lowe, Jamie Heaslip and Jordi Murphy all got in on the action as well as former Ireland teammate Simon Zebo and Wales’ Jamie Roberts.
