Sonny Bill Williams is a wanted man.
The New Zealander is currently plying his trade with his national side’s sevens team in a bid to win an olympic gold medal this summer in Rio. He is however expected to leave the sevens circuit next season in favour of a union or league move.
Many believed a return to the Sydney Roosters in the NRL was a done deal but it has now emerged that a host of northern hemisphere clubs have joined the battle to lure him to union. Racing 92 are said to have joined the hunt along with a host of other clubs including three-time European champions Toulon.
A host of English rugby league clubs are also said to be in the market to try and lure Sonny Bill to the Super League. Either way, Sonny Bill will have his pick of the crop come next season.
