Not good enough.
Leinster booked their spot in the final of the Investec Champions Cup on Saturday, but they didn’t exactly make life easy for themselves at the Aviva Stadium.
Two tries from Toulon in the last 10 minutes of the game saw the French side almost snatch it, but the Irish province managed to hold and secure a 29-25 victory.
Toulon’s last try came thanks to a lovely cross-field kick from Tomas Albornoz, but everyone is saying the same thing – Sam Prendergast has to do so much better.
The young fly-half has seen his minutes reduced at Leinster since being unceremoniously dropped by Ireland, following a string of bad performances in the Six Nations, and it appears the most concerning area of his game has not improved.
Prendergast’s defence simply isn’t cutting it at this level and will need to seriously improve. He dodged a bullet on Saturday with Leinster hanging on, but this won’t always be the case.

I have been a huge Sam Prendergast advocate. He was never as good as the hype, and he didn't deserve the hate.
However – his attempt of a tackle today that cost a try is just unacceptable.
Safely assuming he's been working on this issue – that was as bad as his worst ever.
