Disappointed.
Manu Tuilagi and Denny Solomona have been sent home from England’s training camp for disciplinary reasons. League convert Solomona made his debut with a match-winning try against Argentina in June, while Tuilagi has recently returned to the national set-up after injury,
Both players have been sent home for disrupting the ‘team culture’ according to an official statement by England Rugby. According to reports from Chris Jones of the BBC, alcohol was involved. The pair trained normally on Saturday and Sunday morning by were sent home from camp this morning.
Following Solomona’s departure, Sale have released the following statement:
Sale Sharks are disappointed to learn that Denny Solomona has been sent home from the England Training Camp
Sharks Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said, “This is disappointing news because Denny has worked so hard since joining the club last December. He hasn’t had much time off and his performances earned him a place on the recent England tour to Argentina.”
This matter has been dealt with by the RFU and I will speak to Denny on his return to Carrington.”
