It was revealed by Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal last week that Steffon Armitage has asked to be released from his Toulon contract.
It was then reported that Armitage had made the decision following showdown talks with Eddie Jones and the prospect of once again playing for his country.
Cash-rich Wasps were the first team to declare interest as they search for a replacemt for George Smith who is set to departn the Coventry outfit for Japan at the end of the season.
Today however reports are surfacing that Armitage will instead make a shock move to newly promoted Lyon in France and link up with his brother Delon. Madness.
