Relax.
Ireland got back to winning ways over the weekend with a victory over Japan, having lost their opening autumn fixture to the All Blacks the week prior.
Andy Farrell’s side have failed to reach their usual high standards in the opening two games, with room for improvement this weekend.
Still, it’s hardly time to start panicking when you look at where Ireland have come from, according to former captain Peter O’Mahony.
O’Mahony recently sat down for a chat on The Ireland Rugby Social alongside his former teammate Conor Murray, and made some valid points about Irish fans and the media that influences them.
“It’s funny the state of mind that an Irish rugby supporter has gone from me starting my career or say even five or six years before that,” O’Mahony said.
“You know, to now saying, oh, there must be something big wrong with Ireland if we’ve lost to the All Blacks like, you know what I mean?
“We got 3-0, we got absolutely hockeyed over there, we’d never beaten them, you know.
“You broke the mould in 2016 and then all of a sudden we’ve beat them 5 out of 10 times.
“And all of a sudden now when we lose some, people are going, oh there’s a big problem with the Irish rugby team.
“I think it should be a bit of perspective from Irish rugby fans in general, like calm down a bit. They can be hysterical at times. And part of that is media.”
What do you think? Does O’Mahony make some valid points?
