It’s been a difficult season for all those involved at Munster Rugby.
Dumped out at the group stage of the Champions Cup for the second successive season and a poor season in the PRO12 has left the club in disarray. Losing Paul O’Connell has proved to be even more gigantic than the man himself.
There’s been some good news however recently and finally things are starting to look up for the southern province. A Director of Rugby will be coming in next season to shore things up and results are finally starting to improve.
Even better news emerged today in the form of the sight of captain Peter O’Mahony back in training in Limerick. The flanker was carried off in Ireland’s Rugby World Cup game against France and hasn’t played since. Munster will be hoping he can get back on the pitch for the season’s close as they battle to rise up the PRO12 table.
