Jonah Lomu’s sad death at just the age of 40 has shocked the rugby world, less than a month after his native New Zealand secured another Rugby World Cup title.
The former Kiwi was known as one of the most powerful and dynamic players ever to grace a rugby field, and made an incredible debut at the 1995 tournament in South Africa.
His power and size made him a standout player at all levels, but it seems that even before the game turned pro he was a phenomenon at schools level in multi-disciplines.
Tim Murphy, a new Zealand based journalist tweeted the staggering results from Lomu’s sports day at Wesley College back in 1989 when he was just 14 years of age.
