Henry Speight took to social media today to reveal graphic x-ray images following a horrific fractured eye socket injury.
The Wallaby, who turns 27 today suffered the injury while playing for the Brumbies in a Super Rugby clash. Speight looks set to be on the sidelines for eight weeks as he recovers from his surgery.
The Brumbies have called up Lausii Taliauli as a replacement during their stint in South Africa for league commitments, while Speight recovers from the injury. Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham said:
“It’s a shame to lose Henry, he’s obviously a world-class winger. The crack is above the left eyebrow, it’s a nasty fracture.”
