Former Ulster and Ireland outhalf Paddy Jackson is reportedly already planning for life next season should relegation threatened Perpignan fail to stay in the top flight of French rugby.
Jackson signed for Perpignan over the summer after they were promoted to the Top 14 at the end of last season. But their first season back up hasn’t gone to plan – and it’s looking more and more likely they’ll be heading straight back down to the PRO D2.
But Jackson himself has impressed, despite Perpignan’s poor results and the Irishman has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave over the summer, just one year into his two-year deal.
And Jackson is already considering his future with Midi Olympique reporting he was at Stade de Gerland last Thursday for talks with Lyon, who are in search of a ten with Lionel Beauxis set to leave.
