Munster fans at their very best.
Saracens came to Dublin yesterday and despite being drowned out by almost 50,000 Munster fans- got the job done at the Aviva. The reigning European champions were just too good for Munster, who now know just how far off the pace they really are. Erasmus’ men will now go back to the drawing board, but will no doubt come back stronger from this.
Owen Farrell was once again immense yesterday for Saracens, running the show at ten, slotting all his conversions and penalties. He was the man that pretty much ended all Munster fans dreams yesterday.
Are they bitter? Of course not. Munster will live to fight another day and they will always show just as much grace in defeat as in victory. When you see class, you respect it- just as these group of Munster fans did last night.
Owen and his father Andy, who of course spent some time with Munster as a consultant last season and is Ireland’s current defence coach- walked into a pub (Mulligans in Sandymount) full of Munster fans last night. How did they react? Why a standing ovation of course. Class personified.
In a pub full of Munster fans, Owen & Andy Farrell walk in & they get a standing ovation. Love the respect!
