Another weekend of Six Nations rugby has come and gone with wins for England, Wales and Scotland.
England and Ireland battled it out in a thrilling game with a depleted Ireland unable to stop the English onslaught in the second-half with Billy Vunipola especially have a sensational game. Wales overcame France with reasonable comfort on Friday night and Scotland left it late to overcome Italy in a tense battle.
The Daily Telegraph’s RBS Six Nations team of the week features five Englishmen, four Welshmen, four Scots and a solitary representative from both Ireland and France. The only Irish inclusion was Munster lock Donnacha Ryan and the paper had this to say about the lock.
“You could tell from Ryan’s face during the anthems at Twickenham that he was ready to go into battle, and he did so with gusto. A fine all-round display and unlucky to be on the losing side,” the paper commented.
