Ma’a Nonu produced an incredible moment before the Sharks’ clash with New Zealand in Durban, responding to the All Blacks haka with one of his own.
The 44-year-old, who won 103 caps and two Rugby World Cups with the All Blacks, stepped forward after New Zealand had finished their traditional pre-match challenge.
With his Sharks teammates standing arm-in-arm behind him, Nonu performed a solo haka as the Kings Park crowd erupted.
It added another remarkable chapter to an already surreal occasion for the legendary centre, who was named on the Sharks bench against the country he represented for 12 years.
