Owens, who took charge of last year’s Rugby World Cup final, will officiate this year’s Pacific Nations Cup game between Fiji and Tonga on June 11, making him the most capped referee in the history of the sport.
To mark the occasion, World Rugby caught up with Owens to discuss life as a referee, and an interesting question was posed, what is his all-time favourite moment from his refereeing career? His answer is truly touching.
