Munster are expected to announce the signing of Grenoble’s Chris Farrell in the coming weeks.
The 23 year old, former Ulster centre, is believed to have agreed terms with the IRFU and Munster, with a formal announcement to be made soon.
The 6’5″ centre, who is currently coached by Irish duo Bernard Jackman and Mike Prendergast, was a much sought after player, with interest in the 105kg star coming from several English Premiership and Top 14 sides.
Munster are also believed to have approached the IRFU about signing Jaco Taute on a long-term deal once his current one expires.
The South African has become an instant hit with the fans and players alike and is expected to be a direct replacement for Francis Saili who is expected to leave the province when his current deal expires at the end of the season
