Some serious business from Munster.
JJ Hanrahan is set to return to Munster next season, with the province understood to have agreed a deal to re-sign him. The talented playmaker’s current deal with Northampton is set to expire at the end of the season.
Munster are believed to have been monitoring his situation for some some time now, before finally agreeing a deal to bring the Kerry native back home. Hanrahan impressed this past weekend at inside centre against Leinster, but his English experiment has been a disappointment overall.
In other good news, Munster look set to keep South African centre Jaco Taute, at least until the end of the season. Tauta has been a sensation since joining the southern province as injury cover for Francis Saili.
Saili is back in full training now and expected to be back in action very soon, but such is the impact Taute has made, Rassie Erasmus admitted after the Leicester game that he would do everything in his power to keep him. Negotiations are said to be ongoing, but positive.
