Munster have been boosted by the return of Ireland international duo Keith Earls and Niall Scannell to full training this week ahead of Saturday’s inter-provincial clash with Ulster.
Earls was set to make his first appearance of the season last weekend against Cardiff, but pulled up in training with a ‘knock’ and wasn’t risked for the round four clash.
Hooker Scannell is also set to make his first appearance of the season after recovering from a shoulder injury. Lock Billy Holland and hooker Kevin O’Byrne have also both returned to training this week.
On the bad news front – Rhys Marshall suffered a calf injury in training last week and will continue treatment with the medical department after undergoing a scan.
Stephen Fitzgerald continues to follow the return to play protocols.
Continuing rehabilitation: John Ryan (Ankle), Liam O’Connor (Knee), Conor Oliver (Toe), Jack O’Donoghue (Knee), Conor Murray (Neck), Chris Farrell (Knee), Neil Cronin (Shoulder), James Hart (Knee), Ronan O’Mahony (Ankle).
