Munster Rugby have received a timely boost ahead of their Investec Champions Cup opener with Bath this weekend.
The southern province suffered their first defeat against the Stormers over the weekend, despite taking a huge lead in the first half.
As was the case for Ireland against the Springboks the week before, the Munster were put under serious pressure by the South African pack, but reinforcements have arrived ahead of this weekend.
Michael Ala’alatoa has joined his new team-mates at the HPC after signing from Clermont Auvergne until the end of the season and looks set ot make his debut.
Elsewhere, Jack O’Donoghue failed a HIA on Saturday night and will enter the return-to-play protocols.
This weekend’s game will be Munster’s first competitive game against Bath since October 2000.
