Ah lads.
Maro Itoje was all set to make his long-awaited comeback for England against Italy this weekend, after returning to training following a knee injury sustained in the win over Ireland last month.
But that return looks to now be on hold after the Saracens lock picked up another injury in training – after head coach Eddie Jones of all people got in his way resulting in an unfortunate accident.
Itoje limped out of a session on Tuesday — after falling awkwardly in a bid to swerve his head coach during a passing drill.
You literally couldn’t make this up. Jones goes from being blamed for injury players with his questionable training methods to actually injuring them himself. Absolutely brilliant.
