Manu Tuilagi has suffered yet another injury setback.
The England and Leicester centre picked up a groin injury against Gloucester the weekend that could seen him out for another extended spell. Initial thoughts were that he would only miss a couple of weeks, but it has been revealed that he could miss up to eight weeks out.
Speaking after the game, Cockerill told BBC Radio Leicester,
‘His groin is tight and we want to rehab that and get it right so it is done with.
It is a little bit frustrating for him obviously but he’s working really hard in his rehab – he’s in good nick, his weight’s good and his attitude is brilliant at the moment.
We’ve just got to be patient and when he’s right he’ll play.’
The injury will more than likely rule him out of England’s Autumn schedule against Australia, Argentina and South Africa as well as a number of key games with Leicester.
