British & Irish Lions Fixture In Doubt Following COVID-19 Outbreak

Not good.

The British and Irish Lions’ fixture against the Bulls this weekend is in doubt following a number of positive cases within the South African side.

Warren Gatland’s men are due to face Jake White’s Bulls in their third tour game this weekend but reports in South Africa are now suggesting that the game is in serious doubt.

Springbok training was cancelled yesterday after Lood de Jager tested positive as the virus continues to wreak havoc in South Africa. This comes after four players tested positive last week.

Up next for the Lions is a game against the Sharks on Wednesday. We’ll be speaking to a member of the Lions coaching staff later today where we hope we’ll get some news on Saturday. As soon as we know we’ll update you.
