Leinster handed huge fitness boost amid worrying RG Snyman rumour
Back in action.
Leinster Rugby have been handed a huge fitness boost ahead of the return of European rugby next weekend with Ireland international Andrew Porter returning to action.
The prop picked up a calf injury in training in January, which ruled him out of the Six Nations, but he’s now fit and ready to play after being named in their starting line-up to play Scarlets this weekend.
There’s also a return to provincial action this weekend for Jamie Osborne, who will line out for his first Leinster appearance since October.
But there’s also some worrying rumours surrounding RG Snyman, who had to be prematurely replaced during the second half against Glasgow last weekend following a heavy collision. Snyman looked to be in some discomfort when he left the field.
The towering Springbok is now undergoing further assessments with reports suggesting it could be another serious injury for the lock, who has spent a significant amount of his career to date on the sideline.
Elsewhere, further assessments are required for James Ryan, while Ryan Baird is due to return to full training this week.
