Irish Rugby have been forced to turn off the comments on a social media post congratulating Edwin Edogbo on making his debut against Italy yesterday afternoon.
The Cobh man, who was born and bred in Ireland (it’s sad we have to remind people of that), came on for the last 10 minutes of yesterday’s win in Dublin to a rapturous ovation, following a difficult few years with injury for the 23-year-old lock.
Head coach Andy Farrell praised Edogbo and his incredible journey ahead of the game, but some fans haven’t been as welcoming to the Munster man.
There are a number of nasty hidden replies on the post with Irish Rugby forced to act. Thankfully, several fans have come out in defence young man.
