Captain’s run.
Ireland hooker Sean Cronin has emerged as a late doubt for tomorrow morning’s crucial series decider with Australia at Allianz Stadium in Sydney.
The Leinster hooker set to start for the first time on this end of season tour, but was rested for light training session at the match venue following a heavy workload the previous day. Niall Scannell, who started last weekend’s second Test, has been named on the bench.
Should Cronin fail to recover in time, Scannell may be drafted into the starting line-up, with Rob Herring on the bench.
It would be a cruel blow for the Leinster hooker should he not pass a fitness Test, having gotten very little game time on the tour so far, despite being the form hooker in the country coming into the series.
IRFU say Cronin was just being kept off his feet as there was a heavy session yesterday
