Ireland hit with injury blow ahead of Scotland game

Sidelined.

Ireland are back in Rugby World Cup action this weekend as they get set to take on Scotland in their final pool match.

The men in green currently sit second in Pool B with three wins from three and will top the group with a win over their neighbours.

Andy Farrell will name his team to face Scotland at 2pm today, with the head coach likely to name a similar team to the one that downed South Africa two weeks ago, with one exception.

Forwards coach Paul O’Connell has revealed that centre Robbie Henshaw has picked up a “niggle” of a hamstring injury in training and will likely miss out on selection.

Henshaw wore the number 23 jersey against the Springboks and will now likely be replaced by Keith Earls, Jimmy O’Brien, or Stuart McCloskey.

The only other change expected should see Dan Sheehan and Ronan Kelleher switching places, with the former starting at hooker.
