Munster suffered two more injury blows last night.
Simon Zebo and Kevin O’Byrne were ruled out for a lengthy period this week and join the likes of key players such as Francis Saili and Peter O’Mahony on the treatment table for Munster. A narrow one-point loss to Cardiff last night in Irish Independent Park now looks to have cost Munster more than just an important win, with two more key players set to spend some time on the sidelines.
Munster lost centre Rory Scannell at half-time, replaced by Cian Bohane, and Tommy O’Donnell hobbled off soon after. Both players have suspected concussions.
Up next for Munster is the Dragons away next Saturday in the PRO12. Director of Rugby, Rassie Erasmus will be hoping for some good news on the injury front next week, or Munster will face an even more difficult task against the Welsh outfit.
