Man or machine?

After months of speculation, it was finally revealed back in October that lock Tadhg Beirne had signed a two-year deal to return to Ireland with Munster.

Th former Leinster lock made the decision to leave Scarlets at the end of the season after a conversation with Ireland boss Joe Schmidt, who clearly believe he’s capable of making the step up to Test rugby.

A very special British & Irish Lions House of Rugby show – fronted by Sean O'Brien and Alex Goode – is available now and will run for the duration of the tour. Follow and subscribe to it HERE

Well if he performs anything like he has been for Scarlets this season, Schmidt will be damn glad he decided to have a chat with him. Especially when he sees this stat.

Beirne has made a simply staggering 20 turnovers for the Scarlets this season, topping the PRO14 charts by some distance, with Zebre’s Carlo Canna in second with just 11 turnovers.

Hurry up and get this man back to Ireland.
