Identity Of Former Leinster Player Who Knocked Academy Youngster Unconscious Revealed

Leinster Rugby released a statement earlier confirming an investigation into a former player punching a current academy player has concluded “to the satisfaction of all parties” – and now the identity of those two men has been revealed

According to a report in The Irish Times, former Leinster prop Stan Wright (40) knocked current academy star Jack Dunne (20) unconscious at a private team function in the Intercontinental hotel during “the early hours” of Sunday, May 26th.

“Leinster Rugby is aware of an alleged incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday 26 May 2019 involving one of our Academy players and a former Leinster Rugby employee.” a Leinster statement read

“An internal investigation was carried out by Leinster Rugby, which has concluded to the satisfaction of all parties and as a result we will not be making any further comment on the incident other than to confirm that the player in question received medical attention and that he has made a full recovery.”

Dunne opted not to press charges.
