Bend it like Madigan.
Newly-promoted Bristol Bears pulled off a huge win over the weekend, defeating Harlequins 20-13 at Ashton Gate thanks to the boot of former Leinster and Ireland playmaker Ian Madigan.
The win was Bristol’s second of the season, and leaves them eight in the table with two wins from four games – a decent return for a side that was playing Championship rugby this time last year.
Madigan was named man of the match in the win over Quins – kicking 15 or Bristol’s 20 points including an absolute peach of a penalty with 59 minutes on the clock.
Bend it like Beckham? More like bend it like Madigan.
