Saracens lead the way.
How might a current European clubs ranking list look? Well firstly we all know who would top the list and that’s Saracens. Having won the Champions Cup the last two years in a row, they’re the current undisputed Kings of Europe.
How everyone else ranks however, makes for some interesting reading. The lads over at Rugby Vision have been running this for a while using their unique system of awarding points to teams based on wins Champions Cup, the Challenge Cup, the Aviva Premiership, the PRO14, and the Top 14.
With European rugby less than two weeks away, we thought it might be a good time to have a look at the current standings. Scarlets and Exeter, the current PRO12 and Premiership champions sit in 2nd and 3rd respectively, while interesting Munster and Leinster round off the top 5.
Top 14 champions and last year’s Champions Cup finalists Clermont are down in 8th, with La Rochelle and Glasgow currently above them. Have a look at the Top 40 below.
