The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree…
When Bath sacked George Ford’s father, Mike, in the summer there was instantly huge speculations surrounding the England star’s future. Apparently when Ford signed his new contract back in December, he signed with the understanding that his father would remain in charge.
Ford has since come out to say he will indeed honour his two-year contract, but BT Sport’s Tim Cocker is now reporting that Ford may leave at the end of the current season, in favour of a return to Premiership rivals, Leicester.
Whether or not Bath will allow the young star to leave his contract with a year still to run, remains to be seen. Whether or not they will have a choice in the matter, is up for discussion.
