It’s only been a few weeks since Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino played in a World Cup semi-final, but tomorrow night he’ll be taking to the field in Kinsale.
Amorosino signed a three month contract with Munster while at the tournament, and the province have decided he will make his debut in the British & Irish Cup. The Munster A side welcome Yorkshire Carnegie to Kinsale RFC tomorrow evening and 30-year-old Amorosino has been named in the starting XV.
Kinsale RFC are understandably excited to be hosting the game and are hoping for a big crowd to turn out on the night. It is unlikely to match the 55,925 attendance at the last match Amorosino played in – but we’re sure the fans in attendance will make plenty of noise.
Munster A: David Johnston; Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino, Matt D’Arcy, Cian Bohane, Ronan O’Mahony; Rory Scannell – capt., Cathal Sheridan; John Ryan, Kevin O’Byrne, Mario Sagario; Sean McCarthy, Billy Holland; Jordan Coghlan, Sean Doyle, Shane Buckley.
Replacements: Eddie Rossiter, Liam O’Connor, Sean O’Connor, Conor Oliver, Duncan Williams, Bill Johnston, Darren Sweetnam.
