French giants Toulon want Jonny Wilkinson back at the club in a coaching capacity.
The legendary outhalf enjoyed a hugely successful spell at the Top 14 side from 2009-2014, winning three European Cups and a French title, and now Mourad Boudjellal wants him back.
The Toulon owner wants the Englishman to come on board in a consultancy coaching role and mentor the likes of 21-year-old Anthony Belleau. Wilkinson took up a similar role for a brief period ahead of the Top 14 final last year.
“We obviously hope Jonny will come back to have a consultant’s role, but nothing has been agreed yet.” Boudjellal said.
Whether or not new boss Fabien Galthie approves is unknown.
