European Professional Club Rugby remain adamant that all postponed Champions Cup and Challenge Cup fixtures will be played.
In the aftermath of the terrorist attack on Paris last week each of the European Champions Cup and Challenge Cup fixtures to be played in France were postponed.
Oowners of Bath and Toulon, Bruce Craig and Mourad Boudjellal, have offered their opinions as to when the fixture between their respective clubs should be rescheduled or if it would be played at all.
As a result, European Professional Club Rugby have this morning announced that ‘all postponed fixtures in the European Rugby Champions Cup and European Rugby Challenge Cup will be played’.
Although they did not state when those fixtures would be scheduled, EPCR did reveal ‘that the new dates will be announced as soon as possible following this weekend’s Round 2 matches in both tournaments’.
To assist clubs from the three leagues with their short-term planning, all parties are in agreement that the postponed matches will not be scheduled for the weekends of 27/28/29 November or 4/5/6 December.
