England Head Coach Eddie Jones has heaped high praise on England and Bath playmaker, George Ford.
Jones was speaking following England’s two-day training camp in Brightone this past week. Ford was one of two fly-half’s selected in the 37 man England training squad alongside Saracens outhalf Alex Lozowski.
Jones it now seems has settled on Ford as his first choice fly-half ahead of Saracens star, Owen Farrell and said that he’s been highly impressed by what he’s seen from the 23-year-old in England camp.
“I’ve never seen a more talented flyhalf,”
Jones told the Sunday Times.
“He can see space, some of the things he did in training were quite remarkable.”
When you consider the calibre of player’s Jones has previously coached in the past, it is certainly high praise indeed. Jones has coached the likes of Wallabies legend, Stephen Larkham as well as South African stars, Francois Steyn and Andre Pretorius.
