This is absolute gold.
Former Leicester captain Ed Slater moved to Gloucester during the summer in a surprise deal that saw Jonny May move in the opposite direction. Both players had a year remaining on their contracts, but a deal involving compensation for Gloucester was agreed.
The move happened very quickly and having played 130 times for the Tigers, and having lifted the 2013 Premiership title with them, Leicester will no doubt forever remain a special part of Slater’s professional career.
And if these tweets are anything to go by, he misses his old club already…
