Joe Schmidt is set to name his Ireland team for their clash with the All Blacks on Saturday at 6pm today Irish time.
The mammoth clash see’s Schmidt get another crack at his home country following their agonising defeat in 2013. The two will battle it out twice in November, this Saturday at Solider Field and once again on the 19th of November at the Aviva.
There has been much speculation as to what team the Kiwi will name for the Chicago clash, with many leading outlets suggesting he is going to play it safe on Saturday with Jared Payne once again back in midfield alongside Robbie Henshaw and Rob Kearney restored at fullback, despite recent poor form.
We can now reveal however, thanks to sources close to the camp, that Schmidt is set to name Jared Payne at fullback with Garry Ringrose making his debut for Ireland in the centre. Hopefully our sources are right as this will surely please Irish fans heading into the mouth-watering clash.
We’ll just have to wait and see at 6pm.
