Leinster yesterday revealed that both Robbie Henshaw and Ian Nagle will be joining the province next season along with a host of current players that have signed new deals.
A notable absentee from the list however was prop Cian Healy. Rumours have been surfacing for weeks that Healy’s time with Leinster may be up, with reported big money offers on the table from a host of French and English clubs.
With Healy now second in the pecking order to Jack McGrath many felt that perhaps Healy would indeed be moving on from the province. It has emerged today however that Healy has now signed a new three-year deal with Leinster with the province and Ireland announcing the contract today via social media.
Leinster will no doubt be delighted that they have been able to retain the services of such an experienced prop and will no doubt be hoping he can regain full fitness and return to the level of old that saw him a regular for both club and country as well as being selected to tour with the British and Irish Lions in 2013.
