Legendary All Blacks captain Richie McCaw is set to come out of retirement.
The two-time Rugby World Cup winning captain hung up his boots after he lifted the prestigious Webb Ellis cup last year in Twickenham. The 35 year-old reckons he can still do the job but he won’t be lining up for his old club the Crusaders or indeed the All Blacks.
In what must be seen as one of the biggest coups in history, Dublin GAA have convinced the Oamru born man to take up a hurley and join their senior hurling side for this season’s championship.* Speaking on the move McCaw said:
“It’s great, I hear there’s no offside in hurling. I can’t wait to get started.”
