Fair play.
The World Rugby awards are currently taking place in Monaco with Ireland’s Joy Neville just after being named World Rugby Referee of the Year.
The former Ireland international made history a number of times this year, becoming one of the first women to referee an international mens’ fixture.
She oversaw the international clash of Norway and Denmark on 28 October and became the first woman to referee a European professional club fixture when she took charge of Bordeaux-Bègles and Enisei-STM in the Challenge Cup on 15 December.
Joy also took charge of the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup final in Belfast.
Congratulations Joy. Well Deserved.
