Love Island bros.
Anthony Watson recently sat down with Ugo Moyne and Chris Jones on the BBC Radio 5 Live podcast to discuss all things rugby. The Bath and England winger previewed the new season, and chatted about this summer’s Lions tour.
Watson played a pivotal role on the tour, starting on the wing for the Test series and was joined in the back three Liam Williams, with the two ending up become close friends on the tour. What did they bond over? Monye posed the question…
“You know what we bonded over, you’ve really put me in it haven’t you!”
“Love Island was very, very rife. We used to have about 7 or 8 lads in our room, connect the laptop to the tv, get the speaker on, everyone was in there.”
Turns out Watson, Williams and several other Lions were big Love Island fans. Absolutely brilliant.
