Andy Farrell & Paul O’Connell’s reaction to McCloskey’s tackle is absolutely priceless

Intent.

Ireland shocked the rugby world yesterday, demolishing England in Twickenham despite coming into the game as massive underdogs.

It was a performance that Irish fans have been crying out for and a stark reminder that this side is far from done, despite some disappointing results in recent months.

Farrell questioned his team’s “intent” following their defeat to France in Paris, and if you’re still unsure what he meant, Stuart McCloskey chasing down Marcus Smith is exactly what he means.

The Ulster centre was one of Ireland’s best players on the day once again, and he had both Paul O’Connell and Farrell on their feet when he haired back to dump Smith into touch in the 72nd minute.

Check out the reactions of the two coaches below. They certainly enjoyed that one.
