Former All Blacks star Tony Woodcock has been convicted of drink driving.
The former loosehead, who is widely regarded as one of the best props to have ever played the game, has been disqualified from driving for six months and ordered to pay a NZ$525 fine.
Woodcock, the most-capped All Blacks prop, told police he’d “been helping a mate kill some sheep and had had a few drinks afterwards”.
The 2011 Rugby World Cup final try-scorer was stopped by police for a routine check while driving in Puhoi, north of Auckland, on December 17.
He is now a sheep and dairy farmer at Kaukapakapa, since retiring through injury in the pool stages of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
