Some of rugby’s biggest teams are set to land in Dublin this may for a blockbuster sevens tournament.
The Dublin 7’s Festival comes to Donnybrook stadium on the 28th of May and will feature the national sides of Italy, Germany, Jamaica and Norway as well as the Samurai International team and European heavyweight clubs; Ulster, Biarritz and Wasps.
Sticking to sevens tradition the event will feature a fancy dress theme. All spectators are encouraged to wear their best 80s/90s costumes for the event.
Will it be an an All-Ireland affair in the PRO12 final with Leinster, Ulster and Connacht all in contention? Either way the PRO12 final will be show live on the big screens at the event.
For the football fans in attendance (don’t worry we forgive you), the Champions league final between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will also be shown live on the big screens.
The PRO’s will take to the field from 10am featuring the likes of Ulster, Wasps, Italy and Biarritz.
There’s also a Domestic Cup competition from 10am featuring the likes of Landsdowne, Old Belvedere, Trinity College and UCD.
The Dublin 7s will also feature live music from Dublin favourites Spring Break.
The tournament will also boast a mixed tag festival from 9am- 1pm at Old Belvedere on the 29th with a medals, a trophy and a cash prize up for grabs to the winning team. The final will take place on the main pitch in Donnybrook.
All players will also get a grand stand seat to see the pro’s in action at Donnybrook Stadium.
