Connacht have done it.
This year in sport has been about the underdog, and what a year it has been. Connacht have defied the odds and capped a wonderful season with championship gold.
The western province dismantled Leinster this evening in Edinburgh with their simply wonderful brand of free-flowing rugby. Pat Lam and his men are well and truly deserved champions.
The most wonderful part of this, is the fact that it means so much to the fans. Similar to Leicester’s heroics in the English Premiership, the fans for Connacht this year have been immense. Enjoy it lads, you deserve it.
