Racing 92 wing Juan Imhoff has been added to Argentina’s Sevens squad ahead of the final tournament of the World Series in London this weekend.
The 28-year-old, who scored five tries at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, has played twice before for the Argentine sevens team in 2009 and 2010.
“Juan’s willingness to join us saw him deal with his club over the last few months; for different reasons he wasn’t able to come and play for us until now,” said coach Santiago Gomez Cora.
“He wanted to play the European final and then join us, so he is fulfilling part of his dream and we are delighted.
“He is a wing and probably will play there, but we will work with him over the next few days and we’ll see where he best fits the team. Players that can play in more than one specific position are always welcomed in sevens.”
