The referee appointments for the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup semi-finals have been announced, with Romain Poite and Nigel Owens handed the tob jobs.
The EPCR’s selection committee, chaired by EPCR’s Head of Match Officials, Donal Courtney, settled on the French and Welsh officials.
Poite will referee the Saracens v Wasps semi-final at the Madejski Stadium, Reading on Saturday, 23 April, with Owens taking charge of the Leicester Tigers v Racing 92 tie at the City Ground, Nottingham the following day.
The semi-finals get underway on Friday week (22 April) with the first of the Challenge Cup last-four matches between Harlequins and Grenoble at the Twickenham Stoop, which will be refereed by John Lacey of Ireland.
England’s Wayne Barnes will be the man in charge for the second Challenge Cup semi-final between Montpellier and the Dragons at the Altrad Stadium on Saturday, 23 April.
