Super Rugby is back!
The Brumbies took on last season’s finalists, the Hurricanes this morning at the Gio Stadium and laid down a serious marker, trouncing the the Kiwi franchise 52-10 in an excellent encounter. The game featured the most tries ever scored in a season opener in Super Rugby.
The Brumbies led by 24-3 at half-time and looked in complete control from start to finish. One of the tries of the game came late in the first-half when Wallabies captain Stephen Moore executed a brilliant lineout move that was finished by David Pocock in the corner after some great work.
In the other game this morning, last year’s Super Rugby champions the Highlanders were narrowly defeated by fellow Kiwi franchise 33-31 in a thrilling game of rugby.
